English version

NextStop Cue is a transit alert app that vibrates and notifies you before you reach your destination station or stop. This page is the support resource linked from the App Store.

Quick fixes

"I didn't get an alert when I should have"

  1. Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → NextStop Cue and confirm it is set to Always (required for background alerts).
  2. Open iOS Settings → Notifications → NextStop Cue and confirm notifications are enabled, with banners and sounds turned on.
  3. Make sure Low Power Mode is OFF — iOS aggressively throttles location updates in Low Power Mode.
  4. If you start a session immediately before reaching the destination, give the app at least 30 seconds to acquire a precise GPS lock.
  5. Indoor / underground / tunnel sections delay GPS recovery. Alerts should fire shortly after you re-emerge.

"The Apple Watch app shows a placeholder"

The Watch app reads its state from the iPhone via the App Group container. Make sure the iPhone app has been opened at least once after install, and that the Watch is paired and unlocked.

"The arrival alert is delayed when the screen is locked"

This was a known issue in v1.0.1 declares UIBackgroundModes: location and keeps allowsBackgroundLocationUpdates enabled during a session, which removes the iOS-level 1–2 minute geofence detection lag.

"The Live Activity disappeared"

iOS automatically ends Live Activities after about 8 hours, or sooner if it deems the activity stale. Re-open the app and re-start the session if needed.

"I declined location permission and now nothing works"

NextStop Cue cannot fire alerts without location. Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → NextStop Cue and grant Always (or While Using the App if you only want foreground alerts).
